the first “meeting” was when i saw her video clip of song “A love that will last” played on MTV.
i said “wow”, such tempting girl *droll as always* with a very nice voice to listen to.

and after awhile i started to seach her on net, i found reneeolstead.com
i “try” to give it a listen and well.. i decided to buy her CD’s!!
her first album “Renee Olstead” was my very first (and maybe the last :P ) collection of legit CD’s.
No particular reason though. Only coz its hard to find her “hi-jacked” (illegal,heheh..) version of CD’s, due to not-so-popular popularity of hers.

so simply, i began to adore her. i love her songs, her voice, her beauty (not in too deep).
she’s one of my favourite artist ever since that time.
we can tell that her genre is jazz. and i think most of her songs are remake of previously well-known old songs. *to lazy to cross-check :D

as she was genre jazz, she was once performed at Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival, specifically at 2007.
SO STUPID of me for not knowing that she was there.. damn!! i missed my only chance..

if you asked me which is/are my favourite tracks, i’m gonna have to tell you which tracks i dont, coz its fewer :)
i listened to her songs over and over again.
however, its annoyed me that she never came up with the new album again.
after i moved to my new office with “better” (i mean better with quotes) internet connection, i began to seach for some new album..
and it returned none.
only a couple of single and records of her live performance at stage.

but now, after a long waited years she finnaly made it!
her second major album released at Jan 27, 2009. YAY!
its Skylark. I’ve downloaded them and currently listening to it. and yes, it the non-legit version. hehehe..

well, good luck for you Renee. may your career and life runs smooth and happy. i’ll always be here listening :) .

Owg, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (on June 18th, geheheh).

another review of my faaaaaavourite film, this time cmovie.
and as always since the original synopsis is already in english, so i would like to translate it into indonesian, so that i’m at least made some efforts ;)

Ceritanya tentang seseorang bernama Ye (Jay Chou) yang belajar di sekolah musik yang kebetulan adalah tempat dimana ayahnya bekerja sebagai kepala sekolah.

Kemampuan piano Ye diatas rata-rata. Dihari pertama sekolah, saat jalan-jalan ke ruang piano dia mendengar alunan melodi yang tidak dia kenal sedang dimainkan oleh Lu (Kwai Lun-Mei). Inilah awal perkenalan mereka.

Selanjutnya, mereka berdua selalu bersama dan akhirnya memiliki hubungan yang lebih dari sekedar teman. Tapi, Lu adalah gadis yang misterius, setiap kali Yu menanyakan/meminta penjelasan, selalu dijawab “Rahasia :P “.

Suatu ketika disebuah ruang piano terjadi kesalah pahaman yang membuat Lu cemburu dan akhirnya menghilang. Ye sedih dan berusaha mencari keberadaan Lu.

Tapi semakin Ye mencari, dia menyadari ada kejanggalan pada kejadian yang selama ini dia alami bersama Lu

a very very very recommended movie to watch! humm.. i love kwai lun-mei, she’s soo cute.. :D
anyway the story’s quite fine, its unusuall and a little bit unpredictable.

besides the charm of lun-mei heres part that i like; the OST.
this is musical film though, cant expect less..
theres a beutiful song named “lovers tears” by yao su jung.
the right moment on movie when this song played in background makes it even better.

the best part is when Lu is about to kiss Ye. it has an arrangement music by Jay Chou named “fist kiss” which i am now learning how to play it. hehehe.. still a long way though, i’m about one fourth down there.
